Tributes after death

Flowers and a bottle of beer have been placed outside a Dunedin home where a man was found dead. The body of the 66-year-old man was removed from the Brockville Rd house on Wednesday about noon. The same day, a 47-year-old man appeared before Judge John MacDonald in the Dunedin District Court. He is accused of murdering the man, on or before Tuesday. He was granted interim name suppression to allow him to contact family members, the court heard. A police cordon remains in place at two neighbouring properties, while forensic staff continue to examine the scene.
