Christchurch buses

Fares go up, patronage goes down, and currently we are only about 2/3rds of the way to ECan’s aspirational goal of 20 million trips per year by 2020. Time for heads to be knocked together and some radical action. What about trialling free buses for a year? If that does not get patronage up, nothing will. At the moment we are doing little more than rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.
