CCC running out of our money

The city council ‘‘does not have enough money to finish the Christchurch Coastal Pathway’’ (The Press, Apr 19). I’m really sorry to hear that but it reminds me there is a story in the Bible which says that the man who begins to build and cannot finish for lack of funds becomes a laughing stock.

I would laugh now, but I can’t see any humour in this situation. After all, it’s our money they have run out of. Vic Smith Halswell
