Woman dies after being exposed to Novichok
A woman has died after coming into contact with Novichok in the first death from the nerve agent attack on Britain that its government has attributed to Russia. Dawn Sturgess, 44, and her partner, Charlie Rowley, 45, collapsed after being exposed to the toxin four months after the attempted assassination in Salisbury of a former Russian spy and his daughter. Rowley remains in a critical condition. Detectives have now opened a murder inquiry, Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner Neil Basu said yesterday.
