Drysdale shines again

-

Kiwi double Olympic single sculls champion Mahe Drysdale has tuned up for his winnertake-all showdown with Robbie Manson with another victory at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta. The 39-year-old single sculls gold medallist from London and Rio shook off a couple of recent setbacks to find some much-needed form at Henley where he continued his remarkable record at the event. Drysdale trailed Norway’s Kjetil Borch for most of the Diamond Sculls final, but powered home over the final couple of hundred metres to claim his sixth victory in the event, and equal the record of Stuart Mackenzie.
