Man dies in mall car park

A man died after suffering a medical event in the car park of Christchurch’s Northlands Shopping Centre. Emergency services were called to the scene on Main North Rd at 11am yesterday. A police spokeswoman said the man had a minor car crash in the car park after having a medical event. Ambulance staff treated the man but he died at the scene shortly after, she said. The death will be referred to the coroner.
