Facts and financial skill
James Stewart (Letters, July 10) perhaps rightly admires Mrs F’s financial skills but unjustly criticises columnist Martin van Beynen for a biased column, worse, one of vilification.
Rather, I thank van Beynen for allowing sunlight on the matter (July 7). For once we get the whole story, or near it, of a matter than concerns us all when people claim taxpayer-funded entitlements, rather than a superficial and unsatisfying account that permits no real analysis or depth.
Full facts first, always; biases we can screen out if they’re there.
