Ferns in heavy defeat

-

Another heavy loss has condemned the White Ferns to a series defeat against England. New Zealand suffered a 123-run loss in their second one-day international in Derby yesterday falling well short of the 242 target set by England thanks to half centuries from Tammy Beaumont (67 from 76) and Natalie Sciver (54 from 58). The White Ferns top-order struggled against the pace of bowlers Katie George and Katherine Brunt early in their run chase, losing three key wickets within the space of just two overs. England’s spinners then completed the job, a valiant last-wicket stand of 26 between Kate Ebrahim and Holly Huddleston only delaying the inevitable.
