The facts of the matter

-

Hilary Taylor (Letters, July 11) will no doubt claim taxpayer entitlements without being taunted as ‘‘not a poster girl for poverty’’ by Martin van Beynen, as was Mrs F (July 7). I doubt if Mrs F would say that she has not been vilified. Bias? We certainly don’t know the full story: Mrs F was not interviewed. Even so, she was claiming lawful entitlements. In point, the article qualifies as a superficial account. The only facts known are from the judgment, which led to the conclusion that the Ministry of Social Development was wrong.
