Day of observance

I am more than convinced that New Zealand needs to celebrate a National Day of observance that recognises our nationhood, our cultures and unique environment. Waitangi Day has continued to emphasise racial differences and a political pressure point. It is fair to say that issues between Maori and the State need resolution.
