Using indicators

A large number of drivers don’t seem to know what indicators are for. I have noticed in supermarket carparks, but in carparks in general, that they are sometimes ignored altogether.

Indicators (turning signal lights) are there to indicate (to other motorists or even pedestrians) what the driver’s intentions are. ‘‘Turning lights’’ are called indicators for a reason.
