Serious injury in crash

A person was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a single-car crash in rural Canterbury early yesterday. Emergency services were called to the intersection of Dunns Crossing Rd and Goulds Rd in Rolleston just after 1am. St John spokeswoman Neha Concisom said the victim was taken to Christchurch Hospital. Three ambulances attended the scene, she said. A police spokeswoman said the serious crash unit had completed a scene investigation.
