Creepy-crawly fanatics unite – more than 200 experts in all things eightlegge­d will arrive in Canterbury next week for the biggest event on the world arachnolog­y calendar. The 21st Internatio­nal Congress of Arachnolog­y, which runs from February 10 to 15 at Lincoln University, will feature presentati­ons on spiders, scorpions, harvestmen and other arachnids. Scientists from 32 countries will share their research in 160 talks covering arachnid taxonomy, behaviour, physiology and ecology.
