Quest expands operation in Queenstown, Auckland
Quest Apartment Hotels New Zealand is set to expand its accommodation operation with two new openings in Auckland and one in Queenstown by the end of September.
The country’s largest accommodation network is opening their doors in Takapuna in June, and Mt Eden and Queenstown in September 2021.
Quest Queenstown is opening in Remarkables Park right next to the airport in Frankton.
A short walk to an array of amenities and fitness centres, the location is ideal for business and leisure travellers alike.
Quest Takapuna is conveniently located across from the Smales Farm precinct, in close proximity to North Shore Hospital, as well as local conference and event centres.
The franchisee of Quest Takapuna, Jun Pyo, said: ‘‘I’m very excited to help introduce Quest to Auckland’s North Shore.
‘‘The area is in need of a new accommodation option, and this location is ideal for both business and leisure travellers with beaches, leisure facilities, and local businesses all close by.’’
Quest Mt Eden is located between Mt Eden village and Eden Terrace, tucked back from the main road on Edwin Street, within easy walking distance to the shopping and entertainment precinct at Mt Eden Village, and the new City Rail terminal.
Despite Covid-19 obstacles, business continues to stay strong as the hotels remain a popular choice among professionals travelling domestically for work.
The benefit of this is that Quest also currently has opportunities available for potential franchisees. For more information on this opportunity visit https://www. questapartments.co.nz/franchiseopportunities
Stephen Mansfield, CEO of Quest New Zealand said: ‘‘The impact of Covid on the accommodation sector of New Zealand, and in particular how the Quest network has performed with a year-ending network wide occupancy percentage average of 65 per cent (and with no facilities within the MIQ programme), has only served to reinforce Quest’s priority strategy.’’
Mansfield said that Quest’s strategy is to put facilities in locations, with appropriate amenities and pricing targeted to meet the needs and expectations of the domestic New Zealand market.
‘‘We work a lot with Government and business travellers, and then also make sure we cater to their needs when they are travelling for personal reasons.’’
