Kin Bistro & Wine Bar: Feeding your soul

-

There’s few things that improve your day more than popping into your local eatery.

Whether you’re grabbing a takeaway coffee in the morning, meeting friends for lunch or enjoying a glass of bubbles midshop, a bistro is the perfect place to meet with others or take a well-needed break for yourself.

If you’re searching for a place that will lift your spirits while satisfying your stomach, look no further than Kin Bistro & Wine Bar, located in Ballantynes Christchurch. An urban oasis for foodies within a premium department store, this charming spot has a welcoming atmosphere that reflects its name.

‘‘Kin’’ is a word you associate with family, kindred souls, connections and a place to share or get together, explains Hospitality Manager Helen Kraal.

‘‘Kin Bistro and Wine Bar is a place that provides the opportunity for our patrons to enjoy such an experience,’’ she adds.

Opening in 2019, Kin has received excellent public feedback with local shoppers and visitors from out of town enjoying the delicious food and stylish settings.

Its excellent menu must be examined carefully before selecting your meal, with

delicious brunch favourites, such as Lamington French Toast and Avocado Smash, Kin’s signature Fish and Chips and the Lebanese Chicken Salad – plus many more! Helen notes that the menu is a team effort which changes quarterly.

‘‘Dishes from the new menu have been well-received and showcase the Chef’s creativity,’’ she says.

‘‘We work closely with local food producers, who influence

our seasonal menus. We also use honey sourced from our own hives in some of our recipes.’’

The Wine Bar is equally well set-up and boasts an array of local wines and craft beers, plus NZ and International gins.

Set in an atrium-styled environment with a stunning feature wall, Kin is perfect for both corporate events or casual conversations over coffee, making it a wonderful venue for all. Treat Mum on May 9 at Kin
