Wanted teen comments on wanted brother’s mugshot

-

Where in the world is Lana Tutty?

The Southland teen hit the headlines this year when she taunted police on Facebook after they issued a warrant for her arrest.

The 17-year remains wanted by Southern District Police, and popped up again yesterday with another post concerning a wanted person.

This time it was a mugshot of Hayden Tutty, 21, of Invercargill, who is understood to be her brother.

Lana Tutty was tagged into the post, and replied ‘‘Do you got a problem with that?’’

She later replied with another emoji, and confirmed to another, ‘‘yes, he’s my brother lol’’.

In January, Lana Tutty was to appear in the Christchurch District Court on charges of wilful trespass and assaults with intent to injure.

It is understood those charges were originally laid in the Gore District Court, with a warrant issued after she failed to appear.

After she failed to appear, Dunedin police put her mugshot on Facebook and wrote ‘‘seeking Lana Tutty, who has a warrant to arrest’’.

Police declined to say whether she faced new charges.

Anyone with information that could help police locate the siblings is urged to call Invercargill police on 03 211 0400, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
