Victim stable

Police have said a man who was left with serious injuries following an assault on Janet St in Invercargill on Friday evening is in a stable condition in Southland Hospital. The victim, believed to be a 23-year-old man, was reportedly stabbed and was bleeding heavily. A police spokeswoman said enquires were ongoing.
