Royal Romance

Ferndale may be just a distant memory but former Shortland Street star has been cast as the enigmatic Princess Diana. The Invercargill actress will portray Diana in the US TV movie Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance. The film will follow the romance of the prince and the actress from their initial meeting through to their engagement and subsequent media and worldwide scrutiny. Soper starred as Morgan Braithwaite in Shortland Street, making her debut in 2008 before ultimately being killed off a year later. She has also starred in the drama Filthy Rich before relocating to Hollywood. On her Instagram account Soper linked to the news saying "Words can't describe".
