Three injured in crashes
Several people have been injured in two separate Southland crashes yesterday morning. A 25-year-old woman crashed a van into a paddock near Gore about 10am. St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said she was flown to Dunedin Hospital, but her status was unknown. A police spokeswoman said she was conscious and breathing when emergency services arrived. Earlier, about 9.45am, a van carrying six adults and a child crashed off the highway south of Milford, injuring two females. The extent of their injuries was unknown but they were taken to Te Anau Medical Centre for treatment, Campbell said.
