Man still in hospital

A man injured in a house fire in Gore remains at Christchurch Hospital’s intensive care unit. His condition is unknown. Police said yesterday they were still waiting for results to come back, and at this stage the cause has not been determined so they cannot say whether an accelerant was used or whether the fire was suspicious. The man who is in hospital was the only person affected by the fire and there were no children at the property, police confirmed.
