Phoenix to face Jets

The Wellington Phoenix will begin the 2018-19 A-League season at home on Sunday, October 21, in a fixture against Newcastle Jets. The fixture will take place over Labour Weekend at a family friendly kick-off time of 5pm at Westpac Stadium. As previously signalled, the A-League will fall in line with other major football competitions in breaking for Fifa international windows which in the past have significantly impacted Wellington due to player call up for international duty. The upcoming season will start on October 19, two weeks later than last season.
