Community funders join chorus of support for SdE
We, the Community Trust South, Invercargill Licensing Trust and ILT Foundation, jointly write to add our voice to the support of Southland disAbility Enterprises (SdE).
As major community funders each of our organisations has supported SdE financially to carry out the important work it does for our community.
Over the years, trustees and staff of our organisations have engaged with and visited SdE, and we have all witnessed the purpose and pride of work displayed by SdE employees.
As funders we appreciate the importance of everyone in our community being able to participate, and attending work is an important part of this.
The social impact that comes from SdE is of great value and is felt not only by its workers and families but also by the wider community.
We appreciate the loss that would occur to the SdE workers and their families if the plant were to need to close.
Of particular concern to our organisations would be the potential loss of equipment which has been funded, in part, by community funding.
It has been heartening to see the outpouring of community support for the organisation and we add our voice to this support.
