Fed Cup captain quits

Tennis New Zealand has announced the resignation of Fed Cup captain Neil Carter. Carter returned from the UK in November, 2017, to take up the role. He took New Zealand to the Fed Cup Asia Oceania Group 2 tournament in Bahrain last year and has worked closely with top Kiwi women’s players Erin Routliffe, Valentina Ivanov and Paige Hourigan in recent months. ‘‘Neil has been a very committed and passionate coach with the Fed Cup players and we appreciate all the time and energy he has committed to the role,’’ Tennis NZ CEO Julie Paterson said.
