it wasn’t until she joined the team at the Kelvin Hotel that she was able to apply her theory to real life situations and things started to make sense to her.
‘‘My knowledge and thinking have improved and expanded as a result of working at the Kelvin Hotel. I have had the chance to put my knowledge and theoretical abilities from my SIT course into practice. And of
course, my work helps with my study too.’’
‘‘My manager is open to me introducing fresh ideas to the restaurant because she is highly passionate about her work and places a high priority on training,’’ she said.
Next month Candice will join the team at The Langlands and as part of her internship paper, she will get the chance to experience all the different areas of the
hotel.
Again she will combine study and work using The Langlands as a case study for her research paper on sustainability to explore the new systems and innovative techniques being implemented by the team.
