Tranquil, immaculate and perfectly presented

-

A 1263m2 covenanted lakeside section with stunning, uninterrupted, and protected lake and mountain views captured Rob and Jackie’s interest five years ago whilst they were searching for the perfect site for their dream retirement home.

The fact it was situated so close to a reserve and the gateway to Fiordland National Parks proved an added bonus for the pair who both enjoy tramping, walking and cycling whenever they’re able.

‘‘Our builder of choice wasn’t available until 2021, so this gave us time to plan an efficient, ecofriendly house to harmonise with the natural landscape.’’

To do this, Rob and Jackie chose subtle building materials that would blend in with the homes surrounds including Cedar and dark Colorsteel.

They also ensured the home would take full advantage of the amazing views and natural sunlight.

The result is a fabulous home where every aspect has been carefully considered, including the location of the main living area that faces the lake.

Enjoy breathtaking and picture-perfect vistas from the comfort of your home or step out onto the deck and breathe in the crisp mountain air, the choice is entirely yours.

‘‘Our beautiful high spec’d home was completed in 2022 and although it has exceeded our expectations, due to health issues, we were unable to move in,’’ Jackie says.

‘‘It is now being offered to discerning buyers, ideally those wishing to enjoy ‘brand new’, with no wait times or material delays experienced.’’

The list of aspects about the home the couple love is long and includes the open plan living spaces, all with interconnecting sliders that seamlessly encourage the outdoors in, the automated roller blinds that provide both privacy and shading at the touch of a button and the beautiful Cedar feature walls that mimic the homes exterior cladding.

The theme continues into the living room and adjoining lounge with where stained Oak soft-close barn doors, smoked Oak kitchen cabinetry and stone benches tie everything together elegantly.

Oak Pergo flooring has also been chosen for the kitchen, dining, living area, entrance hall, separate laundry and third toilet, whilst 100% quality wool carpet has been utilised for the guest wing hall, the two king size guest bedrooms, the study, master bedroom (with walk-in robe) and the formal lounge.

The two bathrooms both have under tile heating, Atlantis shower systems, wood-faced vanities with black contrast, LED light mirrors, heated towel rails, and both are finished with exceptional fixtures and fittings, creating both practical and elegant spaces.

Consideration has been given to the neutral colour palette throughout, where Jackie and Rob have ensured a blank canvas for the new owner to add their own personal touches.

Storage and heating was also a priority in this homes design with an abundance of wardrobe, kitchen and laundry storage and a ducted heating and cooling system plus an economical hot water system fitted.

An Escea gas fireplace adds further heat and a touch of ambience to the living area, and the home has been heavily insulated throughout.

The large internal access garage has a laddered storage attic which is certain to prove useful for those extras that tend to be accumulated over the years and will ensure the home is kept clutter free.

Both the designer and landscapers have a created a beautiful, but easy-care garden with careful plantings framing the house and providing both colour and interest.

There is plenty to love about this property that oozes X Factor.

The skilled tradesmen have spared nothing to make it a quality home to be proud of.
