Marina Erakovic and her Spanish partner Arantxa Parra Santonja progressed to the second round of the doubles at the French Open. The duo, who are the 16th seeds at the Paris grand slam, beat Klaudia JansIgnacik from Poland and Ukraine’s Maryna Zanevska 7-6 6-4 yesterday. They will meet Germans of Kristina Barrois and Annika Beck in the next round. Erakovic was due to meet fifthseeded Czech Petra Kvitova in the second round of the women’s singles overnight.
