Colt ready

Unbeaten New Zealand stakes winner Qiji Phoenix will strip at the top of his game for Saturday’s Group II BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Eagle Farm. Co-trainer Donna Logan, who trains in partnership with Chris Gibbs, described the Not A Single Doubt colt as the real deal. She has been pleased with his work and said everything was spot on. Qiji Phoenix will be ridden by Leith Innes, who has been aboard the two-year-old in all three of his wins, including the Listed Champagne Stakes at Ellerslie.
