at the Aigantighe Art Gallery. See Timaru artist Holly Zandbergen’s collection of paintings in her exhibition Terrain. South Canterbury Drama League celebrations: 7pm at the Playhouse Theatre on Church St. The league will celebrate its 90th year with the inaugural Lawrence Unwin Awards, covering all aspects of the league. There will be drinks, nibbles and entertainment. Tickets $20 from the Playhouse between 11am-2pm on Friday, likely door sales on the night. Sunday Art performance: 1.30pm at Timaru Girls’ High School. Te Ana Maori Rock Art Centre brings you Marcus Winter - The Sand Man. Winter creates live artworks by placing sand on a lightbox, and manipulates sand to create images that morph into amazing stories. All ages event, door sales entry $5 per person.
