Folau out
Silver Ferns vice-captain Maria Folau was ruled out of last night’s game against Jamaica in the Taini Jamison Trophy. The veteran goal attack, who played in the second half of the 75-42 win over Malawi on Wednesday night had initially been expected to play again in the Silver Ferns’ toughest round robin match. But it was announced yesterday morning that the 31-year-old would be rested as she continues to recover from a knee complaint. The Silver Ferns medical team and Folau herself, want her to be at her best for the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, which begins 12 days after the final of the Taini Jamison Trophy.. In the other game on Wednesday, Jamaica thrashed Fiji 83-38.
