ONGOING Camelot: 7pm today, 2pm and 7pm tomorrow, and 2pm on Sunday at the Aidan Theatre in Latter St. A Christmas pantomime telling the story of Prince Arthur and Merlin. Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for students and seniors, $15 for under 14s, and $5 for under 5s, and can be purchased from Newman’s Music Works in Stafford St. Runs until December 24. Archaeolog­y of the discarded, forgotten, and thrown away: 6pm today at the Aigantighe Art Gallery in Wai-iti Rd for the exhibition opening with artist Jay Hutchinson. Runs until January 27, 2019. Watercolou­rs by Claire Forbes: Exhibition at York St Gallery. Twenty-four new watercolou­r paintings from Timaru artist Claire Forbes will be on display. Runs until January 31, 2019. Enduring the Inferno: Exhibition at the South Canterbury Museum in Perth St. A showcase of local stories of the Great War, 1914-1918. Runs until February 10, 2019. TODAY A Street Christmas Party: 6.15pm at the top end of Sherratt St, Timaru. TOMORROW Waimate Christmas Parade: 11am-3pm from St Patrick’s car park. TOMORROW and SUNDAY Lily show: 1-5pm tomorrow, 10am-4pm on Sunday at the Caroline Bay Community Lounge. The South Canterbury Lily Society’s first pre-Christmas lily show. Entry is $3. From the Edge of Spaces: 1pm at the Aigantighe Art Gallery in Wai-iti Rd where artists Edwards and Johann will talk about the exhibit. Their collaborat­ive work weaves drawing, painting, performanc­e, video, and installati­on with photograph­y. Runs until January 27, 2019. The Salon: Exhibition at the Aigantighe Art Gallery in Wai-iti Rd. A showcase of paintings from the mid-19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Runs until January 27, 2019. SUNDAY Chocolate Fish Race: 9.30am at Centennial Park (the Scenic Reserve). A social mountainbi­ke race suitable for young and old. Entry is $2 for South Canterbury Mountain Bike Club members and $5 for non-members. Carols by Candleligh­t: 7pm at the Theatre Royal in Stafford St. Traditiona­l carols will be backed by the Alpine Energy Brass Band, Salvation Army Band, and Ryth-Mix Singers. Entry is free.
