Reserve management plan for Knottingley Park
The Waimate District Council will spend $13,000 to develop a reserve management plan for Knottingley Park. Council asset manager Dan Mitchell said the objective of the report was so the district would have a plan for the park ‘‘that reflects community desires and a supporting framework and policy for Waimate’s reserves so that they both protect the reserves whilst offering a wide range of recreational activities’’. Stakeholders and the public were invited to provide feedback via a survey between February 20 and March 5, he said. ‘‘That feedback will feed into the draft general reserves management framework and the draft reserve management plan for Knottingley Park.’’
