Games night a success

A community games night at Makikihi Hall on Tuesday raised more than $300 for the hall. The evening, which included card and board games and supper, was held for the first time, replacing a traditional quiz night, which aids in the upkeep of the hall. Makikihi School organised the event, as it uses the neighbouring hall for a variety of activities including cooking classes and physical education, and struggles to pay the $400 annual maintenance bill.
