Meanwhile a westerly flow eases across the country as a narrow ridge moves across New Zealand from the Tasman Sea. A strong to gale northerly flow develops over the country tomorrow as a deep low passes the far south on Sunday. Strong cold southweste­rlies spread northward on Monday and Tuesday.
