Boult starts with win

-

Pace spearhead Trent Boult notched his first victory for new team Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, but where have all the other Black Caps gone? Boult snared 2-30 as the defending champions beat the Brendon McCullum-coached Kolkata Knight Riders by 49 runs, restricting them to 146-9 in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Of the six New Zealand cricketers contracted in the IPL – being played in empty stadiums in the United Arab Emirates – Boult was the only one to see game time in the first full round. Kane Williamson (Sunrisers Hyderabad), Jimmy Neesham (Kings XI Punjab), Mitchell Santner (Chennai), Lockie Ferguson (KKR) and Mitchell McClenaghan (Mumbai) were all sidelined.
