Easy for Knight Riders

-

Kolkata Knight Riders gave Sunrisers Hyderabad a clinical beating by seven wickets in the Indian Premier League in Abu Dhabi yesterday. Opening batsman Shubman Gill made a solid unbeaten 70 off 62 balls and shared a match-winning 92-run, fourth-wicket stand with England white-ball specialist Eoin Morgan – 42 not out – as Kolkata raced to 145-3 off 18 overs. Hyderabad had been restricted to 142-4 after David Warner elected to bat first, which broke the sequence of teams electing to field after winning the toss in this IPL.
