TOMORROW:

Bookarama: 10-4pm, from today to Thursday October 28, Waimate Museum and Archives, 28 Shearman St. Waimate Museum’s Bookarama offering books, games and magazines. Tomorrow there will be a white elephant, cake sale and sausage sizzle with farm fresh pork sausages from the Waimate Farm shop and Butchery.

Rugby: South Canterbury v Whanganui, kickoff 2.30pm at Alpine Energy Stadium Church St, Timaru. All eligible people who get vaccinated at the mobile Covid-19 clinic at the grounds for their first or second dose will get a refund on their ticket. Children, who get in free, will get $10 for a jab.

SUNDAY:

Steam and craft: 10.30am-4pm today and Monday at Pleasant Point Railway. Pleasant Point Railway and Historical Society present the Steam and Craft Fair. Enjoy riding the railcar, face painting, vintage movies and about 20 stalls of craft items.

Croquet: 10am-12pm today, and October 31, at Aorangi Croquet Club, Rose St, Timaru. Have a Go at Croquet with experience­d players guiding you.

Irises: 1pm-4pm behind Country Crafts in Makikihi, Saturday, October 23, 25, and 31. Iris garden open days, for viewing and purchasing.

Geraldine Farmers’ Market: 9am12.30pm Saturdays St Mary’s Church carpark, Talbot St.

Temuka Community Market: 10am-1pm on Saturdays in the town square.

Timaru Artisan Farmers’ Market: 9am-12.30pm on Saturdays, 2 George St.

Waimate Community Market: 9am-12pm on Saturdays at Seddon Sq.

York Street Gallery of Fine Art: Open Fridays and Saturdays, 11am3pm and by appointmen­t at 21 York St, Timaru. Takapo¯ /Tekapo artist Rosemary Campbell’s exhibition of her latest landscapes, abstracts and still life has been extended until October 30.

Aigantighe Art Gallery: 12pm4pm weekends and 10am-4pm weekdays, closed on Mondays. Exhibition titled, Arrivals, has opened with 12 art works that have come into the gallery collection over the past two years.
