■ Two 18-year-olds were warned after police stopped them driving on Otipua Rd, in Timaru, on Monday night and cannabis and a bong were recovered from the vehicle.

■ A 57-year-old man was stopped on Grassmere St, Timaru, on Monday night and was found to be a disqualifi­ed driver. He was summoned to court and his car was impounded.

■ A man was arrested following an incident at the Richard Pearse Tavern on Saturday night. Senior Sergeant Richard Quested, of Timaru, said police passing by the tavern were flagged down by a person after a male was refused entry into the bar. The man was taken out of the bar which caused him to set upon a random bystander. The bar’s security dealt with the situation and when police arrived, the man who had been kicked out of the bar jumped into the bar’s beer garden and was caught a short time later by police. The man was in possession of a bong and knife and he was summoned to appear in court at a later date.

■ A 51-year-old woman was caught driving just a day after she had been suspended. Quested said the woman had been charged with driving while suspended and her car was impounded after she was stopped on Douglas St, Timaru, on Sunday morning.

■ A 30-year-old Timaru man was located in a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Burger King, in Timaru, on Saturday night. When police arrived the man fled down Sarah St and was caught by police. Police searched the stolen vehicle and found firearms and ammunition. The man was remanded in custody.

■ A 32-year-old woman was stopped on Gammack St, in Temuka, on Saturday night after police received a complaint about the manner of her driving. The woman blew 1116 micrograms and has been summoned to court.
