The birthday party for Summer Bay Hospital doctor Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee) turns to disaster when the plane, that is carrying her and her friends to a winery for the weekend, crashes which puts her life and those of her family and friends in peril. On board the ill-fated plane are:

Irene (Lynne McGranger) who just wants to get back to serving coffee at the diner after her gruelling abduction ordeal. Billie (Tessa de Josselin) who everyone believes is pregnant to Leah’s schoolboy son VJ. In reality, the baby was fathered by Irene’s son and kidnapper, Mick, when he raped the young woman. Leah (Ada Nicodemou) who fell out with husband Zac (Charlie Clausen), the newly appointed

principal at Summer Bay High, when he refused to accompany her on the jaunt, claiming pressure of work. Evie (Philippa

Northeast) who is still grieving the loss of her Philippa twin Oscar (Jake Speer) Northeast and aunt Hannah (Cassie Howarth) in the hospital fundraiser explosion – and also reeling after being abandoned by boyfriend Josh (Jackson Gallagher), who absconded after being revealed as a murderer. Duncan Stewart (Benedict Wall),

the plane’s pilot and Alf’s estranged son, who has recently returned to Summer Bay in an attempt to heal his relationsh­ip with his father (Ray Meagher). He has also fallen for Tori. Brody (Jackson Heywood) and Mason Morgan (Orpheus Pledger), Tori’s younger brothers who are trying to make lives for themselves in Summer Bay after years in witness protection. Dr Nate Cooper (Kyle Pryor) who, despite still recovering from the trauma of his wife Ricky (Bonnie Sveen) leaving him for Brax (Steve Peacocke), has developed feelings for Tori.
