Get your priorities right
I was disgusted to read the letter from R Bennett of Mosgiel re TVNZ 1 placing breaking news lines about the London terrorist attack over the questions on The Chase so they couldn’t do the quiz. I love The Chase and watch it every night, but to compare the priority of a quiz show over injuries and loss of life to poor innocent people in a terrorist attack leaves me speechless. I am amazed that he/she could even have the audacity to send a letter such as this. No wonder our world is in such a mess. Get a life, R Bennett, and get your priorities right. P McNeill (Wellington)
I was shocked, stunned and absolutely disgusted to read the comments in the letter from R Bennett. How they or anyone could put the answers of a quiz show as more important than the breaking news of a terrorist attack on innocent people is beyond me and is utterly lacking in compassion. Are you so devoid of human sympathy that quiz-show answers are more important than human lives? As far as I am concerned you are totally selfish. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself, R Bennett, and if you were a member of my family I would be absolutely disgusted and totally ashamed of you. Annie (Taupo)
