Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has another go at the horror genre (after her 2008 role in Killer Movie) in this plain awful thriller about a deranged college freshman who becomes obsessed with her roommate. Even Meester’s fans will be hard-pressed to find much of worth here, although Billy Zane’s turn as a preening professor adds comedic value at least. ★
