Starring Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal. Director Daniel Espinosa. Painting-by-numbers sci-fi horror that still manages to be both predictable and thrilling. It centres on the crew members of an International Space Station who find evidence of life on Mars – no prizes for guessing what happens next. There are still some nice moments, though, even if it borrows from Alien. ★★★
