Doctor Who, Sherlock stars for witch drama

Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston (left) and Sherlock actress Lindsay Duncan are the latest stars to join the upcoming drama A Discovery Of Witches. Joining the series’ main stars Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode, Alex will play Sarah Bishop, a powerful witch and aunt of historian Diana Bishop (Palmer), while Lindsay, who played Sherlock’s Lady Smallwood, has been cast as the vampire mother of Diana’s love interest Matthew Clairmont (Goode). The series is expected to screen next year.
