STAR LETTER

As a keen sports fan I am excited about the upcoming Commonwealth Games on Australia’s Gold Coast. It pleases me greatly that TVNZ rather than Sky TV – something we can’t afford on our household budget – will be screening these Games. Aside from the actual sporting events, the opening ceremony is usually a highlight for me. This is when we get to see all the participants walk into the stadium with big smiles on their faces and waving their nation’s flag. New Zealand has such wonderful athletes in so many different sports who have been training hard for these Games. I don’t want to tempt fate but I am quietly confident they will do us proud and bring home medals. Come on, Kiwis. You can do it.
