Starting afresh in middle age

The ramifications of two illicit relationships continue to be felt in The Affair’s fourth season. Starring Maura Tierney (above left, ER) and Dominic West (right, The Wire), as an estranged middle-aged couple who are embarking on new phases of their lives, the drama’s latest crop of episodes show that you should be careful what you wish for. Look out for Michael Gross who appears as a therapist. He played the father of Michael J Fox’s character Alex in the 80s sitcom Family Ties. Streams on Neon from July 16.
