More Than Honey M ori TV, 8.30pm Starring Fed Jaggi. If bees died out, the human race would also become extinct just four years later. So says this informative documentary about bees. Given their worldwide decline, some may argue that the humour and laidback style on display by some of the bee experts interviewed is somewhat misplaced ★★★★

The Light Between Oceans Sky Premiere, 8.30pm Starring Alicia Vikander Michael Fassbender. A World War I veteran and his wife who run a lighthouse on the West Australian coast secretly take in a baby who washes ashore in a dinghy with a dead man. It’s beautifully shot (much of it in Otago) and is a real weepie. ★★★

RocknRolla Prime, 9.30pm Starring Tom Hardy, Gerard Butler. With plenty of guns, girls and glamorous, grimy gangsters, this tightly directed, high-action crime thriller combines many elements from Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. We may have seen this all before from director Guy Ritchie, but he just does it so well. ★★★★
