Young Romance on Stuff Pix

-

NEW RELEASE THIS WEEK:

MIDNIGHT SUN: A rare genetic disorder means 17-year-old Katie has extreme sensitivity to sunlight and can’t leave her tinted window during daylight hours. Homeschooled by her widowed father, her lonely existence is brightened by visits from best friend Morgan and regular sightings (from her bedroom) of neighbour Charlie who often skateboards along the street. One evening Charlie (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick), spies Katie busking at the local train station. Cue a teenager romance – albeit one that is limited to night-time dates. Katie doesn’t want to be defined by her illness and wants to keep it hidden from Charlie, but that is easier said than done. We won’t spoil the ending but if you’re a fan of teenage love stories you may want to keep the tissues handy. Starring Bella Thorne, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Rob Riggle. Streaming from July 25.

EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING: An 18-year-old woman with an overprotective mother is attracted to her new neighbour. Starring Amandla Stenberg.

THE SPACE BETWEEN US: A teenager born on Mars visits Earth and meets the foster girl he’s been chatting to online. Starring Asa Butterfield

DEAR JOHN: Love is in the air for a college student and a soldier home on leave. Starring Channing Tatum.
