Coro star suffers ‘silent’ heart attack

Malcolm Hebden, 78, best known as nosey Norris Cole, has revealed the real reason behind his extended break from Coronation Street. The star is recovering from a ‘silent’ heart attack for which he underwent groundbreaking surgery – a procedure which involved using tissue from a cow to cover the hole left by the illness. The treatment saw Cole put into an induced coma for three weeks. The actor says his return to Coro will be dependant on his recovery.
