Lost in music

Overseas programmes are now completely spoilt with background music – If you can call it that. Now New Zealand is following the trend. Watching Lost And Found and Dancing With The Stars has been so disappointing with the background sound when people are speaking. I believe this is very disrespectful. Please directors/producers listen to the programmes before they are played for us to watch. I have given up on a lot of overseas programmes I used to enjoy, mainly because of this trend.

I watched Lost And Found on Three and was so annoyed at the loud, plonking piano with sounds of crashing waves and other weird music. We miss so much of the stories that are told. Other programmes have it too. Why cannot the music be reduced or have no music at all in programmes when people are speaking?
