Thank you, Prime, what a documentary. I watched through misty eyes – most of the time – Richie McCaw: Chasing Great (Saturday, September 1). He has always been an idol of mine, not only for his dedication as an All Black captain and his leadership skills on the field, but because I see him as a genuinely nice guy. I felt Richie bared his soul – telling his story in such an unpretentious manner. To have reached the heights he did, academically and as an All Black, and yet stayed so grounded is a feat to be applauded. The photography, especially in and around Canterbury, was stunning. It captured the essence of the beautiful countryside. I enjoyed every minute of it. I now wait with anticipation for his and Gemma’s first born – Hockey or Rugby!
