Cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been granted an extra five episodes for season six after being saved from cancellation by TV network NBC in May. A return date for the new season has yet to be confirmed.

Actor Bill Daily, best known for his role as astronaut Roger Healey in I Dream Of Jeannie, has died age 91. The actor, who was the witty sidekick to Major Nelson (Larry Hagman), also appeared on The Bob Newhart Show and as a psychiatrist on ALF. He died in his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Grey’s Anatomy will introduce its first gay surgeon in season 15. Played by actor Alex Landi, the character is the latest addition to the new season but full details about his plot line have yet to be revealed.
